We rode Fromme again on Sunday, a beautiful, sunny day after several days of relentless rain. Here is view from the climb up (L-R, CraigH, Constantin, Alan and Robin):

We decide to do Upper Oilcan, where a crowd of about 25 teenagers on bikes is milling around the entrance ... looks like a school outing or something. We wait for them, they go down the trail and we never see them again.

Oilcan is a such a friendly trail, you can just "drop in" anytime (wanna guess who the spectator on the right-hand side is?)

After Oilcan, its off to ride Ladies' Only for CraigH, Constantin and me. Here I am, in equilibrium with a teeter-totter

Here is Constantin going big ...

This is what CraigH is riding these days ... you can see the smoke rising from it too:

Just a final note of interest. CraigH gave me the 10-minute walking tour of the rock they call "Big Stupid". To the untrained eye, it looks like a 10 foot high monolith. However, on closer examination, the rock has several personalities. I was shown the "Big Stupid" and "Semi-Retarded" lines, the 10 ft and 7 ft vertical drops on one the side of the rock.

On the front of Big Stupid is "Milky Wade" (named after none other than Wade Simmons - if you haven't heard of Wade, then I'd like to see the rock YOU'VE been hiding under). Check out the angry moss-covered furrows on the right-hand side of the rock. Reminescent of a petrified Jabba-the-Hut. This is one angry piece of stone.
